Meet Our Charleston Holistic Medicine Expert - Dr. Todd

Dr. Todd Overdorf was raised in Elwood, IN, a small town just north of Indianapolis.  Upon graduation from high school, he completed three years of study at the University of Southern Indiana where he was a member of the men’s golf team.  He then matriculated to Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO where he obtained his bachelors and doctor of chiropractic degrees.  During his college years, he worked part-time in retail at large golf discount stores.

The next ten years were spent in West Michigan working in a large multi-doctor clinic, The Applied Kinesiology Research Center, founded by Dr. Louis Boven.  It was here that he honed his skills in treating environmentally sensitive patients with rare and chronic symptoms ranging from a few days old to 94 years of age.

One of the greatest compliments anyone can be paid is when someone wants to follow in your footsteps.  Dr. Todd was privileged enough to have not one, but two of his patients go to Logan College, graduate and come back to work with him in Michigan.  In total, seven of his patients have gone on to be chiropractors.

The desire for a milder climate led him and his wife, Rebecca, to Mt. Pleasant where he walks to work almost daily.  He practices Praying Mantis Tai Chi and continues to play golf as often as his schedule will allow.  After all the years of playing golf, he is still seeking the elusive hole-in-one.  He is also an avid bowler with two 300 games and one 800 series.

Dr. Todd has a variety of credentials in holistic health care, including:

Solutions Integrative Health Care

It is our mission to provide a safe, open, and inspiring healing center so that families can experience balanced health in every way possible.

It is our objective to get beneath the surface of symptoms by utilizing applied kinesiology methods to find the true cause of a patient’s imbalance.  We can then create a strategy for patients to begin healing in every facet: chemically, structurally, and emotionally.

Our philosophy is not to “fix” patients.  Fixing something implies that something is broken.  We do not think of our patients as being “broken”, just out of balance.  Even the seemingly worst symptoms are simply the body’s way of saying that something is out of balance.  Utilizing the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, we adjust the body into the most balanced state possible at that present moment to allow patients to function at their highest level.
